Anyone else notice Max Cleland in a recent Hillary ad? about vets suffering?

I saw the ad for the second time and said, to myself, wait a second!

That's Senator Max Cleland who lost three limbs in Vietnam, and who lost his senatorial seat to a right-wing chicken-hawk, Saxby Chambliss, who, in his ad against Max Cleland, juxtaposed the head of Osama Bin Laden with Senator Max Cleland.

Cleland is, and always has been, a very, very classy person! And his chicken-hawk opponent didn't care about what true valor is.

To Hillary Clinton's campaign committee, thanks for bringing Senator Cleland's face forward in your ad! (You may want to give his name, the history of the other veterans you showed, etc.)

Go Hillary, GO MAX!!!

And notice how the war mongering righties discarded him like trash for a chickenhawk?

A draft dodging chickenhawk? Fine
A 3 times married family values voter? Fine

Corruption? Lies? Hypocrisy?

All good as long as you're part of the party.

What was done to Cleland is one of the most egregious things I've ever seen and it's an embarrassment the voters of Georgia voted in Chambliss. But the South is a fucking lost hope anyway so nothing surprises me.

if Clinton wins, expect several attempts at secession to sprout up...I'm putting my money on Texas, Mississippi, South Carolina and possible some NW states like Idaho.

Ann "Throw Up A Little In My Mouth" Coulter:
“Max Cleland should stop allowing Democrats to portray him as a war hero who lost his limbs taking enemy fire on the battlefields of Vietnam,” she writes, claiming that he “lost three limbs in an accident during a routine non-combat mission where he was about to drink beer with friends. He saw a grenade on the ground and picked it up. He could have done that at Fort Dix. In fact, Cleland could have dropped a grenade on his foot as a National Guardsman …. Luckily for Cleland’s political career and current pomposity about Bush, he happened to do it while in Vietnam.” ...

What, then, is the truth about Mr. Cleland?
On June 9, 1968, the U.S. Army awarded Capt. Max Cleland a Silver Star “for gallantry in action” at the battle of Khe Sanh, one of the war’s fiercest firefights.

According to the citation, he “distinguished himself by exceptionally valorous action …. When the battalion command post came under a heavy enemy rocket and mortar attack, Capt. Cleland, disregarding his own safety, exposed himself to the rocket barrage as he left his covered position to administer first aid to his wounded comrades. He then assisted in moving the injured personnel to covered positions. Continuing to expose himself, Capt. Cleland organized his men into a work party to repair the battalion communications equipment which had been damaged by enemy fire. His gallant action is in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service, and reflects great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.” ...

Greatly appreciate your service and sacrifice.

I do know one thing - having seen this commercial. Max Cleland is in this commercial. He's the one who lost three limbs - an arm and BOTH legs, in Vietnam. Which he went to fight. He went to war. He saw combat - up close 'n' personal. He shed blood. He suffered. He really got his hands dirty - hell, he even LOST one of his hands! He risked EVERYTHING when his country called. Wore his country's uniform. He served. He made the sacrifice. He DID the heavy lifting. And he paid a HUGE price for his love of and devotion to country.

And guess what happened to him? Anybody remember? He was defending his Senate seat, representing the state of Georgia, from a pantywaist, lily-livered CHICKENHAWK named Saxby Chambliss - who NEVER served. And Saxby Chambliss, who NEVER served, NEVER wore his country's uniform, NEVER saw combat, NEVER got his hands dirty, NEVER risked ANYTHING when his country called. NEVER put his life on the line for his country, NEVER did ANY heavy lifting for anybody, certainly not for his country - This weasel had THE GALL to question Max Cleland's patriotism because Max Cleland voted against the Iraq War. (Having BEEN to war, one is not surprised by that vote from that particular Senator, who's already seen and known and experienced the truth).

Sad to say, that same chickenhawk weasel SMEARED Max Cleland and was REWARDED for it - allowed to steal Max Cleland's Senate seat from him more than a dozen years ago, during the bush/cheney push for the Iraq War. The WEASEL questioned Max Cleland's patriotism!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Cleland

I hope Saxby Chambliss burns in Hell for all eternity. I follow the news fairly closely, and I can't remember EVER seeing or hearing that that bastard Chambliss ever apologized for what he did, and how he slandered and smeared and disrespected Max Cleland - his service AND his sacrifice.

Anybody wanna talk Deplorables? THERE'S one right there! Saxby Chambliss - AND all the weasel voters in Georgia who saw fit to give Max Cleland's job to that fucking lying smearing bullshit chickenhawk.

Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. Anybody who remembers back then should be OUTRAGED by the memory of it. Deplorable time. And utterly deplorable campaign - and exponentially deplorable voters. There. I said it. Anybody who voted for Saxby Chambliss - who did that to a horribly wounded war veteran - should be ashamed of himself/herself. There. I said THAT, too. That to me is the very definition of "deplorable," in the flesh.

Saxby Chambliss is VILE. I was so unhappy to see that wretched behavior toward a wounded veteran succeed, and be rewarded by the voters. FUCK YOU Chambliss. And I'd say SHAME ON YOU, TOO, Georgia voters! Max Cleland minus three limbs is 100 times the man that sniveling snake Chambliss ever could hope to be.
