You do that so that people who dont have authority dont look at you. I think thats a good thing.
Never mind these are the government computer systems Comey said would have been much better for Hillary's use.

(2,068 posts)May be a low risk situation, but always best to plan for worse. Frequent backups, changing passwords, using complex passwords and avoiding opening suspect emails and links.

(9,527 posts)Exists between the chair and the keyboard. It's hard to get users to not click on links. This is a simple thing that can be done by anybody that can't be circumvented via coding by malware creators.

Sure, if this and this and that and that happen, you could get remote access to a webcam - and some hackers get their jollies doing weird stuff - but this is the Head of the F-B-I telling us to tape it up!
Where's the technological sophistication we should expect from the 'watchdog' of government security?

All of these items are readily hackable. Really scary is using disturbances in the wifi signals to "see" and "hear" what is going on in a room.
