President to deliver 'call to action' Saturday



WASHINGTON (CNN) —President Barack Obama said Saturday the election of Donald Trump would be an "insult to my legacy," delivering a stern call to action for black voters to support Hillary Clinton in November.

Addressing a Congressional Black Caucus gala, Obama began by saying, "There's an extra spring in my step tonight. I don't know about you guys, but I am so relieved that the whole 'birther' thing is over."

Chuckling, the President said, "I mean: ISIL, North Korea, poverty, climate change -- none of those things weighed on my mind like the validity of my birth certificate."

He added: "And to think: that with just a 124 days to go, under the wire, we got that resolved."

another president with his intelligence, big heart, and wit. But I look forward to his post-presidency. He's elevated his office with his grace, and I'm certain that he and his wife have plans for their "retirement" that will continue to make us proud.
