(550 posts)But this is really a discussion site, more than a news site. Small distinction, I know...but was just looking for more.

(103,012 posts)If you want a news aggregator, try a site that gives you news. Google News, Yahoo! News, the NYT, NBC, ABC, CNN, CBS, the BBC, The Guardian ...

See Huffington Post for one, though their anti-Trump point of view has a big effect on their selection of stories, but does not bias the reporting: facts are reported straight as facts. They have multiple sub-sites for various geographic entities all over the world.
Reuters is a good source for direct reporting.
For a Right-wing slant, the Conservative Angle is a definite right-wing aggregator, though a bit clunky.
The problem with Drudge is that they do heavily slant the facts and warp the reporting. Plus it is very clunky.

(27,172 posts)The Drudge Report has always been totally worthless, in my humble opinion.

(21,506 posts)You can tweak it to your hearts content till you are seeing the news you want to see. Near the top right of the page you will see a personalize button. If you click on the button you can adjust the sliders to your tastes.
DU latest breaking news forum is also pretty decent.

(188,638 posts)Wow. I didn't think that was possible. It's a mess using old newspaper font. Newsman Matt Drudge ( and his hat) seem to think it lends credibility.
Content is whole other story.
One page, no pop ups, very turn of the century . I have to admit knowing nothing about the font.

(103,012 posts)Just use the first page of LBN. All the thread titles must be the headlines from proper media, or respectable blogs (eg Talking Points Memo).

(550 posts)Just curious if there was anything else out there.
Good to know LBN headlines must be actual headlines - I did not know that.

(7,681 posts)that's how I first found this place back in 2001. I don't think there's anything like that now. It's kind of obsolete what with google and twitter and everything there is now.
