Farrakhan Slams Obama for Putting Israel and Gays Ahead of African Americans

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan attacked President Obama in a sermon at the Union Temple Baptist Church in Washington D.C. Sunday, criticizing him for putting the interests of Israel and LGBT Americans over African Americans.

Farrakhan said that Black Americans were crucial to electing Obama in 2008 and 2012, but he had failed to earn their respect for his legacy.

“You fought for the rights of gay people. You fought for the rights of this people and that people,” he said. “You fight for Israel. Your people are suffering and dying in the streets,” he added, a reference to the gun violence in Obama’s hometown Chicago.

The remarks are an apparent rebuttal to Obama’s recent efforts to rebuild his coalition, which included minority voters, by appealing to their desire to preserve his legacy as the nation’s first Black president

3. What does one expect from an anti-Semitic homophobe?

This homophobic anti-Semite is nothing but a solid, hardcore bigot. It shouldn't be all surprising that the last paragraph of the article reads:

Farrakhan, who has a history of making anti-Semitic comments, has spoken glowingly of Donald Trump. In March, he praised the GOP nominee for standing up to the “Jewish community.”

Which in that article he claims:

According to the Anti-Defamation League, Farrakhan told parishioners of Chicago’s Mosque Maryam Sunday that Trump “is the only mem­ber who has stood in front of Jew­ish community, and said I don’t want your money.”

“Any time a man can say to those who con­trol the pol­i­tics of Amer­ica, ‘I don’t want your money,’ that means you can’t con­trol me,” he continued. “And they can­not afford to give up con­trol of the pres­i­dents of the United States.’”

That article ends with a most interesting observation:

His praise of Trump comes after the presidential candidate was endorsed by former Klansman David Duke...

Though this bigot is attacking Obama, his remarks will largely go undiscussed because the objects of his attacks...gays and Jews.
