Gov. McCrory is giving a self congratulatory speech with no mention of family or video.

He's acting as if the noble police and national guardsmen are under siege and acting admirably in the face of terrible danger. He's talking flooding. He's talking gas shortage. He's just unbelievable.

The last 1/2 hour was filled with the cellphone video, he had to get on national TV and divert our attention. They are going to have to release the dashcam video or there will be no peace.

so I went to see if it was the Gov. McCrory I'd heard made things worse every time he got involved, and, yes, it's him. All his expressions of admiration were for soldiers, police and some civilian leaders, but none for all the citizens, including many families and church groups, who turned out to peacefully exercise their right to protest. Nothing about the death that brought them out.

With any luck, his behavior after this tragedy will finish off his already questionable chances of reelection.

and their reason was chilling. My suspicion was one of the many authoritarians who could be very dangerous to "disobedient" citizens and is totally unsuited to any position of power over others.
