Why do people feel they have to set the bar "low" for a "successful businessman"?

They say, "What this country needs is a successful businessman as its President". As if a businessman is automatically more qualified than anyone else.

If that is true, why do some folks excuse the lack of knowledge and the vulgarity of the businessman now running for the White House?

You would think the bar would be set very high.

But, we are led to believe that if Trump walks on the stage without falling, then he is automatically a winner.

Why are successful businessmen like Donald Trump held in such "low" regard?

Hillary needs to hammer that point home during the debate. Come on Donald, show us how successful you've been, I dare you.
