I can't believe there are SO MANY people who don't hear any news!

I spoke to a friend of mine from Pa. I asked her if she saw the CEO of Wells Fargo when he testified before congress. She said no, what did HE DO? When I told her about his treatment of his employees she replied "How can he do that?" during the course of our conversation, I had to educate her on a lot of things that have been in the news news...the regular 6PM & 11PM news. This lady is not a hermit. She actually called me to find out what I thought was going on that the polls show the Tumpster actually winning.

How can so many things that happen daily escape notice of ordinary Americans? I guess I'm starting to understand how so many people are voting for The Con. They really ARE completely uninformed voters!

2. I don't watch televised news

I will read the news and maybe a few clips, but I can't stand any of those blow hard talking heads trying to tell me what I think.

My wife will wake up in the middle of the night and turn on one of the networks with their 30 minute repeat all night garbage. If it wakes me up, I get so pisses that I can't sleep.

to be so ignorant. I'm just thankful she's voting for Hillary. It does worry me though about how many other people out there are just as ignorant and voting for The Con because they haven't heard what he really is!

There is no excuse. I am not excusing their lazyness.

The reason the US is were its at is because people don't care... Except when the shit hits the fan and then they whine A LOT.

How much free time does it take? Trump's crap has been on all media non stop for 18 months!

Most people have a global library in their pockets, but they tend to use them for social networking and titilation, instead of keeping themselves informed.

7. Not Enough Time

For some people, work, family, and kids get in the way of paying attention to the news. In the article linked to below, Goldie Taylor profiles Sheryl-Ann Pruitt, a Trump supporter, who works in a factory, has two kids, and takes care of her mother. Pruitt may be a racist, but her life also makes it hard for her to watch regular news. Instead she follows social media and conservative websites.

It seems there are many people like Pruitt. Some of those people are not racists; they just do not have the time to pay attention to what is going on in this country and the world. I realize that you may have a family and at least one job, but some people find it hard to juggle all those things. Some of it could just be poor time management. Pruitt and others choose to spend time on social media instead of spending 30 minutes watching the news.

10. So how many Americans don't even bother to vote?
Mon Sep 26, 2016, 08:54 PM

There's a huuuge number of people in America who just don't give a shit or pay any attention to what is happening. There's a huuuge number who never read a book after high school. How many can't even name their two Senators? A whole bunch of Americans couldn't find Iraq or Afghanistan on a blank map. We as a country, are a people filled with ignorant, incurious, people who don't care about these things. This is a problem that few are willing to speak of, let alone attempt to remedy or call attention to. And this election which is supposedly so divisive and important means little to a huuuuge number of us? Methinks it's all by design.

That's why we get to hear: "I like that Trump guy with the TV show". USA USA USA
