what pisses me off is that I make 85,000 a year

and just today paid more in taxes than Trump. If I, making a healthy salary is feeling pissed off, can you imagine how the poor person working two jobs and getting 40K is going to feel, What an asshole!

I'll have to look at the transcript of the debate but did he seem to imply that he doesn't pay taxes at all? Is he reporting his income correctly? Even Warren Buffett reported paying nearly 18% effective tax rate.

Honestly, if he boasted about paying no taxes on ten billion bucks (which he doesn't have), he pissed off every taxpayer out there, whether or not they're spending their time star struck and kissing his butt.

Working people know they're getting shafted on taxes and they know a braggart like Trump is not going to do anything about that.

I used to get refunds when I had huge medical bills that were out of pocket because no one would insure me. That's about it.

Yeah, and now you want to take advantage of the American people. Time and again you do what's best for you, why should the American people believe you have their interests at heart?

Like that leopard is going to change his spots. He's already shown more than once that he's willing to treat campaigning as a means to promote his enterprises. He's shameless.

will still vote for him because they think voting for him will give them the opportunity to be like him, take advantage of the system like him, etc.

I have a friend, nice guy, would do almost anything for you, writes beautiful music that's sung by most high schools and in most churches in the US and some beyond. HE is a die-hard Trump supporter. When you mention the taxes thing, it doesn't make a bit of difference to him because he says that he's just being a good business man and taking advantage of the laws that were created. If we want him to act better, we should change the laws. Of course, my friend I'm sure makes enough that he can take advantage of some of those same loopholes as well, he doesn't exactly fall into the poor or lower middle class. So he knows its wrong, but because he can take advantage of it, he does. Trumps supporters are OK with that.
