he was having to deal with Trump, the schoolyard bully. He did seem to lose control at times but he made an effort to push Trump on his tax returns and a few other things and did call contradict Trump a couple of times on his lies.

It seemed like he made an effort to try to be impartial.

I loved it when Hillary at one point goes something like, Whew, where to start after all that

Although he did attempt to engage Drumpf a few times, causing Drumpf to go into an argumentative meltdown.

I watched on CSPAN and IIRC, they only showed Holt full front view at the beginning with his opening statement and didn't show him again until the end. The rest of the time it was split screen on the debaters. Was not sure what the network feeds showed of Holt.
