Why bother posting in this thread?

Do you go on threads discussing Game of Thrones and point out that you don't own a TV?

In my mind, they are trying to cover for Trump's ignorance & outlandish behavior. Their whole campaign seems to be attacks on Hillary. Almost nothing on how to the make America great again.

It's what happens when you continually point out why Johnson is not a valid option for progressives.

And I was really counting on him to steal Trump votes . . . .

are the anti-Hillary posts by military groups, despite Trump insulting John McCain and the Gold Star family.

to point out all the lies to my Facebook friends. Just this morning I had to debunk the myth about Clinton using secret hand signals to Lester Holt during the debate. Most of my friends are reasonable and they'll retract or offer an apology, but it shocks me that they--intelligent people--would fall for all the garbage in the first place.

I ignore most of it, from the RW "friends"

Its not even about forming a cohesive argument anymore. You can point out the obvious lie's, half-truths, bring up studies, data, etc.

And then they just mad and go rabid at you for showing the obvious semi-truck sized hole in their Meme, linked article, etc.

Many are beyond hope. And I don't unfriend because, its a nice reminder, these "friends" are a few fries short of happy meal.

I got a notification of a new "Trek Against Trump" FB group for Star Trek fans opposed to the Orange One. The comments on it are appalling. Why do these babies have to dig in their heels and turn everything into a fight?

https://m.facebook.com/TrekAgainstTrumpOfficial/posts/887685388029999

(IMO, if you're pro-Trump, you have absolutely no business calling yourself a Star Trek fan. Trump is against everything Roddenberry and the show stood for. There is no room for exclusion in Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combination.)

I just hit the little, gray "V" in the upper right-hand corner, and select "Inappropriate content" from the menu. The more I do that, the fewer conservaclown suggestions I see. I haven't seen many lately.

As for posts from Facebook "friends", I don't see any. I'm pretty selective about who I "friend." The only person who would post right-wing shit is my idiot brother. I don't allow any of his posts into my news feed, so I don't see any of the garbage there. I have been seeing a ton of trolls in the comments sections of various posts, especially those of NPR, Mother Jones, George Takei, etc. Also, not surprisingly, Stephanie Miller, Randi Rhodes, etc. Randi has a complete loon who has been trolling her FB page, but doesn't have the guts to call in. She doesn't like to block people, but this kook is apparently giving her second thoughts.

that, whenever I saw right wing nuttery in my feed, I was going to unfollow (not unfriend) the person(s) responsible and I've stuck to that. Also, I've downgraded the friend status of some people and have started following more non-political pages. Those measures have helped keep a lot of toxicity out of my feed.
