FREE coffee at WAWA today apparently means "by the cup".
I tried to explain to the manager that I was going to end up with a gallon of Mocha Mint ice coffee* anyway so why not just let me take it in the easy to carry container? She wasn't going for it.
I was going to make a civil rights stand but unlike the hot cheese dispenser at 7-11 I can't get my head under the nozzle.
* mmmmm it's like a York peppermint patty milkshake but with caffeine

Not great food but sandwiches made to order.

(62,444 posts)It is also a dairy in the Philadelphia area which expanded into a chain of really nice convenience store / sandwich shops.
If you want to have a taco truck on every corner in this region, you are going to park them in the Wawa parking lots, because there is a Wawa on every corner here already.
Imagine a 7-11 which is clean, well-lit, has friendly employees, nice music piped in, and sandwiches made to order with fresh ingredients.
And, yes, a selection of good coffee.

But they are seriously duking it out for the best corners.

(12,132 posts)then they popped up all over Orlando.
Now I won't go anywhere else for my convenience store needs. I will even go out of my way to get to a Wawa. Which is less convenient but still more so than the inconvenience of stepping into a 7-11 or Racetrack. I get lunch there a couple times a week - the cashier at the one close to work knows my name. It's nice.

I had not realized it was free coffee day.
I will prepare a range of disguises.

(9,259 posts)Has the honor of being the place where Mitt Romney visited when he campaigned (in a last ditch effort to win PA) in 2012. He was amazed at the sandwich-ordering kiosk.

(10,167 posts)They're giving free coffee away at all of our Kwik Trips in Wisconsin today. Kwik Trip is awesome and heading toward WAWA status, but does not hold a candle to WAWA. No deli where they cook things like cheesesteaks and have hoagies. If we had WAWA in Wisconsin, I'd weigh 400#! I'd be in a Trump speech!
