(27,315 posts)There are situations where the president does not have a second chance and where a off-the-cuff approach can kill people.
Being prepared is a duty of a leader.

In business he thinks out of his ass, all he does is lose money.
In government and in crisis situations this will lead to disaster

(9,350 posts)When I read the statement about Trump needing to touch a hot stove to realize the stove was hot I thought about nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons cannot be put back in their silos once they have been launched. The damage done by nuclear weapons cannot be undone once you see the damage.

(1,214 posts)But, based on his reaction (defective mic, Google conspiracy, calling Holt "biased" , I doubt Trump learned anything.
Personally, I am perfectly happy with his "methods" (as irritating as his persona is; I can't even listen to his voice).
I wish more Republicans would reveal their true selves with such candor! They'd lose more elections, and the rest of us could get on with solving our various problems (many of which were created by the Republicans).

(288 posts)Thanks for posting it. I saw another article saying that Trump expectations were so low they sound like "developmental milestones". (I.e. Can sit still, Can pay attention, Recognize key themes, and so on.)
Means something when a Trump "ally" is reporting this-- is it a personal grievance, professional CYA (I.e. Was candidate's fault not mine), or what? No offense to CNN but should they have tighter rules on reporting with anonymous sources?
