This is nothing new. During the primaries the polls showed a Trump vs Hillary match-up would be pretty close. Why are people so surprised it's close? This is what it was projected to be a year ago.

I think people on DU tend to forget....40% of this country is politically conservative. Hillary is never going to win over those voters.
