Recap of the 30 minutes I heard at lunch:

Republicans have multiple philosophies of what conservatism is and bow to the Dems so as not to upset the Independents
Tax returns favor the governing class. It's a set up for people outside of the governing class.
Politicians guide their whole lives around what their tax returns will look like.

That's what claiming a loss on your income tax does.

Trump's supporters love that he "stuck it to the man", but the reality is that Trump stuck it to each and every one of us. Deplorable some may be, but willfully ignorant all are.

It's not like, say, she got a briefing saying terrorists were determined to strike Benghazi and then just ignored it. The attack happened, she heard about it AFTER it happened, and then responded. So how is that on her? Even if her response were perfect to the letter, those 4 people still die.

Oh, and by the way, maybe the Republicans shouldn't have slashed the Embassy Security budget only a month or so before so they could give more tax breaks to their rich buddies. That darn Hillary, making the Republican-controlled Congress slash Embassy Security over her objection!!!

I would not say $916 million is just some money. $916 million is a large amount of money. Most people in the world will never accumulate anywhere near that amount of money. In addition, Donald Trump has based his campaign on the idea that he is great businessman who has done so well in business that he should be allowed to run this country. He has also said that his business acumen has put him in a position in which he will not have to rely on super rich businessmen like himself for money which will allow him to be independent of the wishes of the super rich. If he is losing $916 million in one year and declaring bankruptcies while running companies, those things should be discussed.

Also, Donald Trump has a history of bashing people who do not play taxes. Now it comes out that he may not have paid any taxes. However, he and his supporters are now trying to claim he is some sort of business and tax genius. Others have every right to state that he is not a genius when he loses $916 million in one year.
