Unger strike: Obama’s former professor says he ‘must not’ win in 2012

Harvard Law School professor Roberto Unger, who taught President Barack Obama classes such as Jurisprudence and Reinventing Democracy, said last month that his former student has betrayed liberals and should lose the presidency in November.

“President Obama must be defeated in the coming election,” Unger said in a sit-down video posted to his YouTube account in May, which also attacked the Republican party.

Is this guy any relation to Felix Unger?

if he thinks Mitt Romney would be any improvement he is delusional. Hell George W. Bush almost completely destroyed this country in 8 years and Mitt Romney would finish it off. Professor Unger thinks the suffering will bring about a progressive utopia. It won't.

youd think they would take the opportunity to take a shot at Obama, but they dont say a word about the President, they mock the guy that is criticizing him:

Then, gripping his chair tightly as if to strap in for an earthquake of truth-telling, Unger proceeded to unleash a series of one-liners against Obama.

(....)

Unger has posted several interviews with himself on his YouTube channel, which are viewed only rarely. Unger typically disables comments on his videos, and he receives few positive or insightful comments when he does allow user interaction.

In a video Unger posted on the topic of the Hegelian and Sartrean Heresies, for example, a viewer praised Unger’s “very interesting” point of view but complained that “there’s got to be something you can do” about “your jaw click.”

According to the Harvard Crimson, Unger received tenure at Harvard Law School at the unusually young age of 29.

I'm surprised more DU'ers aren't rallying in the streets with this guy, frankly. Well. It's been two years, and maybe they've learned their lesson. Mr. Unger, safe and snug in President Lula's Brazil, is kind of the picture of "doesn't know what he's talking about"

Certainly Obama has done many things that liberals and progressive did not like but to think that a Romney presidency is the answer is just insane. A true liberal would never, under any circumstances, say or do anything that would help Romney win the presidency. The man (Romney) is a sadistic, lying psychopath who will destroy this country if he wins.

If Unger really does not understand the harm Romney would do the millions of working class people, he does not deserve to be teaching any subject, including basket weaving, at Harvard. What he is suggesting is a far greater betrayal than anything Obama has done in all his presidency.

It doesn't mean a thing and I'm sure some Tea Bagging dick will make it an issue. Gee, I guess if one is a Harvard professor that makes one omnipresent and all knowing.

How is throwing Obama out of office and throwing this country to the right and off a cliff a good idea? "Progressive purity"? What the hell is he smoking in his ivory tower?
