How can the Republicans claim to be 'The Party of Small Government and Christian Morals' yet:

Want to be able to control what bathroom you go to

Want to be able to control whom you are allowed to marry

Want to be able to police what consenting adults do, in the privacy of their own bedroom

Don't want to give a single dollar to help a struggling person, yet will demand to give millions of taxpayer dollars to a multi-million dollar private enterprise

Claim to be a Christian, then spout their hate of gays and minorities

Claim to be a Christian and then ignore what was basically the 11th Commandment, requiring that we help those who are less fortunate

See nothing wrong with Donald Trumps sexual escapades, yet still condemn Bill Clinton for the same

Do not see themselves as the holier-than-thou and self-righteous hypocrites they are

9. But only the military and law enforcement see increases.

They have no problem with random searches, or eavesdropping on citizens; yet they hate countries like China for doing the same thing.

2. they are the party of appealing fictions.

the idea of a balanced budget sounds appealing, but they clearly have no real interest in that. they like tax cuts too much, along with big business subsidies and a big army (primarily because it's also a big business subsidy). so the only part of "balanced budget" they're willing to put into practice is spending on people who need help.

yet the push the fiction that they want balanced budgets.

the idea of freedom sounds great, but they clearly have no interest in this for actual people. businesses, perhaps, but not actual human beings. they want to regulate, as you point out, who you marry, where you pee, how you plan your family, etc.

yet the push the fiction that they want more freedom for everyone.

they claim to be all for law and order, but their contempt for the law is evident at every turn. they view the law as "unnecessary regulation" and do everything they can to push the envelop, if not outright violate the law, if it suits them. this goes from dodging taxes to outing undercover cia operatives.

yet the push the notion that law and order something they respect.

they even claim they're good for the economy! despite all evidence to the contrary. obama and bill clinton both had lengthy periods of expansion while both bushes had recessions -- shrub's being the worst since the 1930s.

and the list goes on.

sadly, it works. i good friend of ours is a texas republican. we generally avoid politics, but in one revealing conversation she admitted she knew republicans lied all the time. but she figured, democrats lie too and she likes the republican lies better....

4. Furthermore, to "build that wall!" and "deport 11+ million illegal immigrants" would require

a massive expansion of government and expenditure.

A President would have to set up several additional governmental departments, hire tens of thousands of new government workers, and spend hundreds of billions of tax dollars on these.

I thought Republicans were against that?

Hmmm.......

They want to be all up in your uterus, and in charge of its contents at all times.

6. The old Fake Christian conundrum:

Those who have a huge problem with government policing the powerful have absolutely NO problem with government policing the powerless.

"Besides, if you're not better than a (insert racial, ethnic, gender or maligned class snarl word here), then who are you better than?"

10. They're liars taking advantage of gullible people!

Since Ohio no longer has a law that pulls political ads that are full of lies (as of this year according to a judge on the grounds of "freedom of speech", I half-expect to see GOP ads that proclaim Clinton wants to take away and burn everyone's Bible.

When I heard people openly worrying about "widespread" human-sacrificing Satanic cults after this damn Geraldo Rivera special in the 80's, I knew we had far too many fearful and gullible people!

We don't need a return of "The Fairness Doctrine" as much as some kind of "Honesty Doctrine" for our media!

The GOP will probably try to use the courts to push "anything goes" in science journals someday!

11. Also forgot to add

You are for the separation of church/state, yet see nothing wrong with pastors who use The Pulpit to spew political rhetoric (as long as said rhetoric is pro-Republican)
