Brockton, Massachusetts man charged in assault with stolen sausage

A 22-year-old Brockton, Massachusetts man was charged on Sunday morning with assaulting another man with stolen sausage links and a wrench, in attack police and the victim said appeared to be unmotivated, according to The Enterprise News.

Michael A. Baker was arrested after a passer-by spotted his victim bleeding from lacerations on his head, apparently due to several swift blows by a wrench. The victim later told police that Baker initially attacked him with sausage links, abandoning a bundle of bread and cheese in a nearby waste bin.

Baker reportedly stole the victim’s bicycle and some jewelry and was caught a short time later.

The report noted that police later discovered a sausage stand at a nearby fairgrounds that had been broken into, and it was missing sausage links, bread and cheese.
