All the predictions... all of them in one graphic

Not bad, Clinton clears 270 in every single forecast. NPR's is especially lame, leaving 103 EC votes as "too close to call". Pfff, tea sipping effetes. That hardly qualifies as a forecast at all. I'd say a 100 Electoral College margin of victory is a pretty cautious call.

based upon what the graphic shows. If she doesn't win, it would then certainly appear to have been a rigged election.

Clinton/Kaine

Favored . . 221
Lean . . . . . 67
Total . . . . 288

Trump/Pence

Favored . . 139
Lean . . . . . 53
Total . . . . 193

Toss-up . . . 57

Note: Totals do not add up due to adding rounded averages. Interestingly the Total + Total + Toss-up does equal 538.

it's been dreadful. i have been lethargic. it's been hard to work. as i write i am sitting at my desk in the office !

i have pools of calm. all the signs point to Hillary winning.

I've kept myself busy with this campaign, but here in my red county, I get depressed with all the Trumpers.

Hillary will win. My husband assures me of this every minute, but I'm still a wreck. Hoping for a good night's sleep tonight.

Today, I'm cleaning the house.

on edit: I'm sorry; I was mistaken about the meaning of the word.

Why use femininity ("effete&quot as a negative?

Why the assumption that NPR is male and not male enough for you?
Why the assumption that males have to be very masculine?

28. Here is the definition of effete
Tue Nov 8, 2016, 10:14 AM
Nov 2016

ef·fete
əˈfēt/
adjective
(of a person) affected, overrefined, and ineffectual.
"effete trendies from art college"
synonyms: affected, pretentious, precious, mannered, overrefined; More
no longer capable of effective action.
"the authority of an effete aristocracy began to dwindle"
synonyms: weak, enfeebled, enervated, worn out, exhausted, finished, drained, spent, powerless, ineffectual
"the fabric of society is effete"

Nothing about gender in there at all.

14. Nate Silver is indeed the most pessimistic of the group
Mon Nov 7, 2016, 07:24 PM
Nov 2016

I ranked these by taking the midpoint of their tossup range, and got this ordering:

FiveThirtyEight 297.5
Cook Political 301
ABC 306
PredictWise 308
Sabato's Crystal Ball 308.5
Governing 311.5
CNN 315.5
NBC 316
Associated Press 321.5
Princeton 323
NPR 323.5
Fox 325.5
The Fix 326
NYT Upshot 334.5
Rothenberg&Gonzales 335

Nate Silver is about 19 EV off the average, and the most Trumpward of the bunch. Given that the turnout stories indicate a surge of Dem votes way beyond his prediction, I expect that this election will be Silver's comeuppance as the big star among statistical election predictors.
