that they may be needed.

if recount is ordered republicans will go all out to disrupt and a lot of the call for that in WI will be happening from the 3 limbaugh stations that rent the badger to help them attract advertisers.

the uni is a good place to protest in support of recount - if there's even a hint they might get the uni to even think about looking for apolitical alternatives to broadcast sports, media will notice, advertisers will flee and the whole WI GOP will freak out.
