But if he were the official candidate, yes in many places in the South.

He was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives.

Many in this area have been voting against their interests for a very long time.

It's what they do.

Location, Location, Location. Yes...I do think there are regions of this country that would elect him if he were the official rushpublican party nominee. It wouldn't just be the south...he'd do very well in Alaska, Utah, Wyoming and Montana as well. Who knows how many closested racists are already in Congress...

I am in Spencer Bachus' district in Alabama. If he decided not to run and Duke lived here I think he could.

for racist terms, Duke could win in West Virginia, western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, upstate New York and southern Mississippi. (http://campaignstops.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/06/09/how-racist-are-we-ask-google/)

Racism isn't a wholly-owned subsidiary of the South.

P.S. And, the last time I looked, Montana, home of the "Obama Presidential Library," depicted as a bullet-riddled outhouse, was NOT in the South.

in 90 and 91. He got 43% of the vote in 90 and then 39%. He won a majority of the white vote both times. He likely could win a district composed of white Louisiana voters.
