He was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives.

(31,706 posts)Location, Location, Location. Yes...I do think there are regions of this country that would elect him if he were the official rushpublican party nominee. It wouldn't just be the south...he'd do very well in Alaska, Utah, Wyoming and Montana as well. Who knows how many closested racists are already in Congress...

Racism isn't a wholly-owned subsidiary of the South.
P.S. And, the last time I looked, Montana, home of the "Obama Presidential Library," depicted as a bullet-riddled outhouse, was NOT in the South.

(52,152 posts)in 90 and 91. He got 43% of the vote in 90 and then 39%. He won a majority of the white vote both times. He likely could win a district composed of white Louisiana voters.
