Some are making a stink but on an administrative level it's weak and pathetic.

Goodbye America...
whathehell
(29,587 posts)I say "bullshit on the high road". Fight like you mean it!
Democrats were not always like this, you know...Under presidents like FDR, Lyndon Johnson, and Jack Kennedy they were much tougher.
FDR, a president historians rank as the 3rd greater in our entire history, was reputed to have said, with respect to Republicans, "If
they go into the gutter, we go right in after them".

My prediction is that nothing will come of this; I hope I'm wrong. What should happen is Congress should hold a hearing. There should be a thorough investigation. But it's coming up a recess and nothing will happen. We all need to call our representatives and senators and demand an investigation.

(5,106 posts)This is an unprecedented situation in our nation's history, beyond previous Electoral College reversals of the popular vote. If the 2000 decision had favored Gore, the Republicans would have made sure that the Electoral College was gone long before the 2004 election. Democrats have now won the popular vote, but lost the presidency TWICE in sixteen years! Insane in any other so-called "democracy." A mere half million favored Gore in 2000, but over two and a half million of us had our votes wiped out in 2016.

(4,858 posts)...and save the country. I mean this literally, and God help me for thinking it. If treason is going to be committed with impunity, and a traitor assumes the Presidency, nothing matters. (90 posts)The lack of an administration response on the Russian hacking cannot be attributed to Congress, said Rep. Adam B. Schiff (Calif.), the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, who was at the September meeting. The administration has all the tools it needs to respond. They have the ability to impose sanctions. They have the ability to take clandestine means. The administration has decided not to utilize them in a way that would deter the Russians, and I think thats a problem.
