46 More Electors Sign Onto Letter Demanding Putin/Trump Intelligence Briefing

Forty six additional electors have joined an effort demanding a full intelligence briefing on any alleged ties between President-elect Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Originally 10 electors had signed on to the letter, which was first published on Monday, and addressed to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. Since then, the number of signatures has grown from 10 to 56. The 538 electors are scheduled to meet at the Electoral College on December 19, 2016.

The effort, spearheaded by elector Christine Pelosi (the daughter of Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi) asks for further information to determine whether “Mr. Trump is fit to serve as President of the United States.”

if we get more than a handful of Republicans, then I'll start to believe something could happen.

who are voting for Hillary anyway (some bound by law to do so) this isn't a thing. Sounds good but won't change anything.

...The absurdity of Trump being installed (certainly not elected) into the office of the President and his ‘In-your-face’ cabinet selections is like being slapped, punched and kicked by a gang of street thugs while a crowd of lawyers cheers them on.

And to complete the insult, you’re expected to stand there and take it without fighting back. I keep asking myself how in the hell did we let our government turn into this perverse Golem that’s now completely out of control? But more importantly, how do we wrest control back from this ‘creature’ of a government and set things right?

The proverbial turning of the other cheek doesn’t work with a street thug, and it won’t work with Trump. Our Democratic leadership needs to grow a spine and realize they’re in a street fight for their, and our lives!

And if there’s one thing I’m completely sure of, it’s that the “Law of Unintended Consequences” will rear its ugly head early and often if this ‘Useful Idiot’ is allowed to be installed into office.

Like the Hangin' Judge in the old west said before he ordered an execution: "May God have mercy on your soul."

Given the unprecedented events surrounding the election in November I demand a full and complete investigation into the alleged involvement and hacking by foreign governments with the intent to sway the outcome of our presidential election.
I believe nothing less than the integrity of our electoral system is at stake.

President elect Trump himself stated that he believes there was massive voter fraud to the tune of 3 million plus illegal votes. Compound that with the reports from intelligence sources that there was deliberate and intentional interference by adversarial governments and this election MUST be thoroughly investigated.

Should you fail to push for or support efforts to reveal the full truth about the level and intent of entities outside the US to influence the election I will do everything that I can to see that you do note return to congress after your next re-election campaign. You took an oath to protect the constitution and now is the time that you must prove the seriousness of that oath, and I quote:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

Congress engaged in multiple hearings to determine the facts surrounding the events in Benghazi, a tragedy without question but one that pales in comparison to the current situation.

This election will install as president a man who lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes and has divided the nation in terrible ways. It is becoming more obvious by the hour that the events proceeding the election were, at the very LEAST, directed in part by governmental institutions OUTSIDE the US to influence the result.

Again I DEMAND a full and complete investigation and expect YOU to bear true faith to the oath you took upon entering congress
