Is there anything Trump could do that would make him lose support of the majority of Republicans?

Really, I think the only political question I have right now is this.

I have a whole long list of horrifying things he could easily do, things he's even said he would do, even illegal things, that I don't think would lose him majority Republican support.

I honestly can't think of one thing he could do that they wouldn't rationalize as okay because he's their guy.

Rounding up Muslims and transgenders and having summary executions in the street? Nah, they'd love that.

Dropping nukes in Iraq? Oh, they'd love that.

Dropping a nuke on Hollywood? Somehow, I think his base would love that or could be convinced it was the right thing to do.

Trumpism can only be failed by the country, it can never fail itself. And we know the extreme psychopathy of Trump himself.

The only thing I can see that would cause his die-hard support to change is if he started a nuclear war. But that's only because most of his supporters will get obliterated.

This is not going to end well.

would come out of the woodwork with definitive proof that he paid her to have an abortion. You know there has to be one.

Maybe if someone came up with definitive proof that he was gay. That's not really that crazy when you think of it. His behavior when it comes to women isn't just disgusting and inappropriate. It's damn odd. That came out when he described the "grab her by the pussy" was locker room talk. Plenty of men came out and said no, it really isn't, or that only teenagers talk like that.

Or if definitive proof was provided that he was an atheist.

Any one thing, no matter how horrible, can be rationalized.

The only thing would be a series of bad events that can't be easily blamed on Dems or the "other", such as the economy crashing, massive layoffs, raised taxes, their life not getting better, the wars getting worse or not changing, etc.

For many people, the letter after the name is all that matters, because the other party would be worse.

I'm not excluding Democrats from that way of thinking, but Republicans seems to tolerate more egregious behavior from their representatives than we do (the IOKIYAR phenomenon).

Lots of Trump voters can excuse Trump's comment about grabbing a woman's pussy as "what guys do".

But calling your young son a 'retard' does beyond what many excuse as 'guy talk'.

Lots of Trump voters have autistic kids/sons.

They excuse horrible behavior towards women/girls. Not boys.

Edit to say- I don't think Congressional Republicans would find this as reason to turn against him.

I am referring to some Trump voters who excused his rhetoric and behavior.
