Beijing "Targets Midwestern Republican States" after Trump appoints China trade skeptic

“China is now preparing some weapons,” Ms. Cheng said. China’s Commerce Ministry “is quite busy now, I’m sure.”

...

“Their objective will be to parry what Trump does with targeted reprisals in areas of U.S. vulnerability.”

Among China’s likely targets, say trade experts: Boeing Co. aircraft and U.S. farm exports from Midwestern Republican states.
Canceled Boeing orders would hurt U.S. shareholders, labor unions and the U.S. trade deficit, prompting pressure on the new administration, said Derek Scissors, an economist at data provider China Beige Book International. As of last month, China is awaiting delivery of 292 Boeing jets.

Blocking soybean or other U.S. food exports would prompt action by Republican Senators whose constituents lack a large manufacturing base,

1980's farm crisis,Japanese purchase of whole industries and dismantling them and shipping back to Japan, much like China did in the Nineties.

BTW,there is a Farm Crisis brewing as we speak. With Corn and Bean prices being what they are,the Banks are now demanding more collateral in order to rework their loans. Major spike in Auctions and Land sales are now the new normal. With China looking else ware for Corn and Beans,Farm Crisis is in the works for next spring.

And these are the Trump voters, how is that working out for you.

Famous Japanese statement at the time,We will manage your Economic demise.

Companies to purchase Ag land already. In the last year they have purchased several thousand acres of land in the Arizona California corner. They also got the water rights, only crop ground is Alfalfa, which requires mega water, and that is shipped back to Chinese Beef and Dairy in China.

Two years ago China used a shell company to purchase 55 thousand Acres of irrigated land in the Green River Utah area. The previous owner operated the largest Mellon Business in the US,now it is all Hay being shipped back to China and Japan.

Here in the Southwest,it is all about the water rights.

and they will blame Trump. Well, maybe not. They might blame Obama. Still, once Obama's out of office, it's not going to be that easy for them to do.

to appoint Chinese leader's "friend," Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad, to be ambassador to China and then turn around and appoint an adviser who wants a trade war with China. The very reason Branstad is the BFF is because China wants Iowa's soybeans.
