Movie about a guy who hacks other companies' technology, and vastly improves on their work. But, he also puts himself through a memory-wipe in order to protect the work he did for his client.

What you don't know through most of the movie, is that one of his upgrades allows him to see the future. He realizes that he will help establish a mego-maniac president who will push the button and end the world. There is no way out of the memory wipe, so he leaves a bunch of clues for himself in an envelope that he knows he will get back before they release him.
