On the national security front I can't imagine either former presidents kissing up to a US adversary like KingCon is doing.

On the issue of intelligence KingCon is a pretty brainless dude outside of cheating people out of their money he's decent at mindless word word salad though. Bush was pretty apathetic of anything outside of oil..

Trump is far worse than either Nixon or Reagan. He has their negative qualities, plus many that are more pathological and toxic. More, he has none of their less-bad (as close to "good" as either was) qualities.

Both men had governing and public service experience. Both had knowledge of geopolitics. Nixon had been VP and Reagan had been CA's Governor. Both men are probably rolling in their graves with the prospect that a Know-Nothing Narcissist is about to enter the WH.

If there's any silver lining to the next 4 years it's that the Republican Party, each and every member, supporter and voter, own the disaster that's coming our way.

It's our job as Democrats to make sure everyone remembers that simple, devastating point.

Reagan did business selling guns to fund illegal contras. He launched his general election campaign in Philadelphia Mississippi talking about state's rights where they had killed voting right's workers 16 years before. He tried to veto the MLK federal holiday.

As for Nixon, he started the Southern Strategy and was an open anti-Semite and racist when talking to his aides. Richard Nixon started the war on drugs that has resulted in the incarceration of millions of young black men. John Ehrlichman who was on Nixon's staff has said it was meant to target blacks.

Trump is an idiot and has a great chance to screw things up, but it's hard to already lump him as the worst president of all time. Yes Trump has appealed to racists, but that isn't new, nor was it his only appeal unlike George Wallace. Pretending otherwise just looks silly.

Over the last quarter century:

The Republican party has become exponentially more angry, detached from reality, win at all costs and extremist in its views.

The media has completely abandoned any pretense of engaging in actual journalism, has lost all sense of service while engaging in self gratuitousness and of course becoming whores to the Republicans.

The country as a whole is now flat out stupid as fuck.
