President-Elect Trump Promises Christian Theocracy

Source: Patheos.com

“We will respect and defend Christian Americans” – Donald Trump.

Theocracy alert: On the campaign trail president-elect Donald Trump promised Christians special treatment and consideration if elected president.

Trump made his pledge to work towards a Christian theocracy explicit while speaking to members of the Faith & Freedom Coalition last June. Then candidate Trump promised to “restore faith to its proper mantle” in U.S. society while making a pitch for theocracy at the Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference.

Pandering to the evangelical audience, Trump said:

"We will restore faith to its proper mantle in our society. That’s what we have to do. And we have to do that soon. We will respect and defend Christian Americans. Christian Americans."

When has faith ever been removed from the "proper mantle in our society"? And they hate us for needing safe spaces! God damn them!!!

Bill Maher had a great new rule about this last year:

These people need a serious reality check.

in the stores to pick from and she credits that to Mike Pence. Yes, she thinks the retailers were putting out more cards that say "Merry Christmas" because Mike Pence will be the new VP. 'Cause of Obama's War on Christmas and all, she thinks pickings have been slim for the past eight years.

that the LAST thing she, as a Catholic, should want is a theocracy after she defended these assholes. If there is a theocracy, it will be headed by the extreme religious Right, and they generally HATE Catholics. She replied that they're "working with" Catholics now; I said sure, they need you now, but they'll dump you into the stinkiest landfill if they ever win.

Theocracy is very frightening. People die in droves under theocratic government.

My last idea was a "Loaves and Fishes Can Opener." Shaped like a fish, of course, with a Bible verse on the side. $19.99 plus $200.00 shipping and handling. Hey, it worked for the people who actually sell "Jesus Candles."

Indeed, the First Amendment needs to be defended from attacks by Christian extremists, where such Christians don’t merit respect.

As in all things, the idea that Trump will champion the American Christian Right is part of the Big Lie. The man has lived his life as an anti-Christian, dedicated himself to his own ego, greed and dominance. Remember the 'greedy, greedy, greedy' confession then the pivot to 'now I'll be greedy for America' line? That's right up there with The Donald hugging the American flag like a two-year old mugging for mommy's attention.

Donald Trump is the 'Snake' he described in his poetry reading. Yet his gullible supporters invited him in and like the woman in the tale/lyrics, they'll no doubt be bewildered when he delivers his most deadly bite.
