and they will consider that a victory. The 'deplorables' will love them for it. Some minor tweaks will come in the ensuing years and it will be renamed - who knows - maybe 'trumpcare'. Then the con can say he fixed healthcare and made it great again and take credit for it. The 'deplorables' will love him.

they failed over 60 times to repeal 'Obamacare'. This is their way of saving face to their constituency.

ACA has its problems (like any other major law) but none so egregious that it needs to be removed root and branch and (maybe) replaced with something else. The Republicans haven't come up with any good ideas to replace the law with in six years and I doubt that they will come up with anything over the next 2-4, though, in smashing the law to pieces with a sledgehammer, they will be "scoring a victory", placating their rabid base, and, ultimately, creating a "Health Care Cliff" to try to stain President Obama's legacy and/or to scare Democrats into helping them come up with a replacement (though they will still struggle with getting Democrats and even elements of their own party with actually getting a replacement law in place). I hope that if Republicans manage to repeal PPACA that Democrats make the Republicans go it alone on replacing it because, after all, we already actually came up with a plan, made it law, and, now six years in, is helping lots of people and is the new "status quo". If Republicans want to come in and upend everything (whether their repeal happens 2 years from now or 3-4 years from now it doesn't matter IMHO), they should be made to own the mess.

The Rs are the governing party now. They can't just blame everything (falsely) on the previous administration, though they will try.

We have to keep reminding them, and the media, of that.

That refused it. Call it TrumpCare, and no amount of pointing out that was all they did will convince his supporters that's all he did.

They will do something like this to cover up that they are investing your (and mine) social security in the stock market.

to get them comply.

As incentives, they'll send more $ to the states under block grants that can be used on anything they want. They'll also lower benefits to patients. Any extra $ will get channeled to their donors in the form of business incentives, aka payoffs.

and not worry about it. They'll throw money at every problem and explain: that's what Obama should have done. We wouldn't have had any of these problems if Obama had done this.

TrumpCare.
