to happen.

The only alternative is to organize people to contact their Representative and Senators in enough numbers to convince them that there will be a price to pay if they start to dismantle programs that are vital to people

It will take longer to steal the Social Security funds, but they will.

Other things will happen quicker. It is all gone, and I mean everything such as you can go back to overtime pay, child labor laws and work your way up to today and every single law or regulation that helps people is gone.

The environmental damage alone will be so overwhelming that many will wish they could live long enough to die from climate change reasons. The economic damage will be swift and overpowering and every time something happens that makes life harder they will blame Obama and liberals and their base will buy it each and every time, BECAUSE to NOT do so is to admit they are wrong, which they never will.

in two years we have the chance to take congress back. Don't waste that time.

Get your dead ass out there and go to town meetings. Write to your local newspapers, call your local stations. If you can't organize, find someone who can, and get to senior centers, youth centers, and every other damn place that will be hurt.

No big speeches (I just stood in the rain listening to long speeches, and it's not fun) and no whining-- just keep politely pushing OUR agenda and make sure people understand what's going on.

I laugh when Brits are interviewed about BREXIT and say "I didn't think it meant we actually had to leave Europe." Don't think that's not true about Trumpsters.

If you're feeling helpless, at least have the good grace to stand out of the way of those of us who are still motivated to act. We don't really need your defeatist attitude, which you are welcome to keep to yourself.

We fought like hell in Wisconsin. Rs get absolute power and go mad. Our good DEM legislators are laughed at and told to shut up and sit down. As for we the people, they pay no attention to our calls, emails, townhalls. I know the end of this story. And I am so so sorry.

Our asses aren't dead, they trampled us down for 6 years. They have ALL the power. They corrupted every branch here, including the courts. The USA will become WI.

made sure that more Democrats went to their polling places. Hillary won in my precinct with a 60% majority. GOTV is why that happened.

I hope we have learned that lesson, if we learned nothing else from 2016.

But, no, we don't have to stand helplessly by. We can each do our parts to encourage our representatives at all levels of government know how we feel about issues that come up. We can even protest in the street, if that's our decision.

But, looking forward to 2018, we need to realize that we could have done more to get people to the polling places. That we can do in any election, if we have the will to do it and make the effort.
