"I'm shocked," again.

Republicans wiping out the independent ethics committee. SHOCKING!

Well, not really. It's totally logical once you understand that the Republican Party is a criminal enterprise and has been for decades. They don't give a rat's ass about America or Americans. They care only about getting elected, reelected, and staying in power indefinitely.

The Republican Party, which is ready to fall in line behind an Orange Madman, is a threat to every human being in America, and perhaps/probably, every human being on earth.

And if you think I'm overstating the impending danger that will begin on January 20th, wake up. Whether you voted for Trump or not, your freedoms, and the life you've known, are on the line and could become a thing of the past.

So why am i saying this? Because I've read history books. I'm aware of what human beings, with unchecked power, are capable of.

Make no mistake about it. Our Republican owned government has declared war on us. Their very first assault was to wipe out the independent ethics committee.

Anyone who can't foresee what's coming next is brain dead. The Senate filibuster will soon be gone. The media, including the part of it that still cares about facts and truth, are irrelevant. Police and the military? They're owned by those in power. Federal district judges? Guess who has been appointing the "right" ones for decades and have been blocking Obama's appointments for the past eight years.

Once you grasp the fact that we are totally fucked, it's time to consider alternatives. It's time to consider the survival of what we've always called "civilization." It's time for us to figure out the answer to one question.

What do we do now?

I hold little hope that we will do much of anything but try to duck, cover, hide, and make believe it will be over in four years. Dream on.

I repeat: What do we do now?

I only have one suggestion and that it's that all of us constantly repeat this meme to everyone we know at every chance we get: "The Republican Party is a criminal enterprise." Repeat it enough and maybe the fools who voted for Trump, and everyone else who doesn't "get it," will start to understand it. This won't bring us "salvation." But it will at least be a start toward growing the ranks of those of us who oppose our oppressors.

So let's hear your suggestions as to what we do now.

have been planning this coup since Reagan. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Koch brothers have been pouring huge amounts of money in state and local races for generations, thats why they control so many state houses and governorships. That is why we are always lamenting "spineless Democrats." They are not spineless, just bought and paid for.

The only way to stop this is to attack the ROOT PROBLEM!!! THE ROOT PROBLEM IS THE MONEY IN POLITICS!

They own the MSM so they have been controlling the message. We have to demand Publicly Funded Elections and an end to Lobbyists, Super PACs, Dark Money, and the Revolving Door! Most of our problems stem from campaign bribes. While not all Democratic politicians are bought off, many are. They have to fund raise more than they legislate just to get and keep their seat. This has to stop because Representative Democracy is dead, unless you are a big Donor or "Bundler."

To deny that Democratic politicians are not bought off is to live in denial, we must jettison all corporate Democrats. We must find and support candidates who will only accept small donations from the 99%. We must turn out in numbers to march/protest. We must make phone calls, knock on doors, write letters to the editor, and call + write representatives to turn up the heat!

Americans, whether they have been hoodwinked by Trump or just apathetic, all believe that the money in politics is a problem, we just need to get them to do something about it! If you tell a Republican that both Party's are corrupt, they will acknowledge it. You can get them on board as well as long as you don't start arguing with them as to which Party is worse. I don't think it matters at this point, we are now in a crisis. It is a turning point in our Democracy and we have to really fight to preserve our Democratic way of life and our very country. Otherwise we will be at the mercy of the corporations and the Super Wealthy, and we know they have no mercy!
