It seems like I guess the 1930's. But more than anything this limbo-we still have normalcy and sanity-we have Obama and then we are walking into an abyss. I can't imagine it. All I know is America is never going to be the same.

3. Just as this campaign and election

were horribly unprecedented in my lifetime (Truman was President when I was born), I suspect what will start to transpire after January 20th will also be unprecedented and entirely awful. These last few weeks we still have the filter or patina of normalcy of President Obama sitting in the White House. After January 20th all bets are off, with Trump in charge and a Republican Majority in Congress. Soon to be followed by a conservative Supreme Court. Call it what you want: "Free Fall", "The Twilight Zone". It will be dangerously unprecedented and unnerving. I keep feeling like it's 1922 in Italy or 1933 in Germany.
