Special snowflake crap?

My daughter's sadistic college roommates flung that crap at her and it almost broke her.

It tells me that conservatives are cynical, unfeeling, insensitive, unaware louts.

They say they are all for individualism, but on this, as with everything, they lie.

it's so much in public usage now that I assumed everyone was familiar with it. Sorry. I am seeing it used most commonly recently to refer to Democrats or liberals.

5. I'm aware of the expression and current useage.

I was wondering what her roommates actually said or did to affect her so much. Because I'll go MichMary one better and say that if just being called a "special snowflake" would have such a devastating affect on her, she really needs to toughen up or the adult world is going to eat her alive.

7. I know! It's so stupid

I just tell them my feelings are not involved.

They want to paint us as weak and call our criticisms of the right crying, etc.

I just tell them we are not crying and they better buck up and be able to deal with criticism of their Dear Leader.

Another one they love is "suck it up buttercup." Someone must have used it and the right wing internet loves it. They tell us Trump won, so stop whining and suck it up. Just say no, we are going to go after him for 4 years or however long it is before he leaves.

They are the true whiners and snowflakes as they can't win graciously and they can't handle it when they get criticized.
