The real reason for the Obama Hatred

Obama shattered every stereotypical myth that whites created and they see evidence that when all have a fair share, the best rise, not the entitled.

See where they had to go for their leader - the worst racist, narcissistic dumbass, shithound I have ever seen win a Presidential election in America - Groper Don the Con.
I heard a Democratic person call him a con earlier this afternoon. I said yes - you're catching on.

This is an old saw: when "minorities" achieve success the dominant / white racist culture is particularly incensed and tends to take it out on the perpetrator. I've seen it personally.

As a white person, I can't imagine how destructive and degrading that would be. As a woman, I have experienced some degree of this, myself.

*Also - you mean you heard a REPUBLICAN call him a con (I hope)?

People who imagine this is only about racism are missing most of the picture. That's only part of the fuel for this raging. If it were about skin color, why the virulent hatred of liberals? And, no, it goes far, far beyond liberal promotion of equality for POC.

Where he said he didn't need their vote anymore. They voted for a man who has contempt for his white followers, too. He only needed them as tools to gain access where he's been denied his whole adult life. Now, they're superfluous.

So, yeah, the truth will out and it's quite an inconvenient one. They voted for someone even more insane than themselves. That's sinking in slowly. Evidence being the fearful coal miners fretting over their benefits. If Trump is allowed the flush the country down the toilet, they go with it.

And I don't mean that the electorate won't understand the word (although that's likely) -- more that a large number of them will want to punish you for using it. Get caught saying 'oligarch' and you risk being tarred and feathered.

then having an Untermensch voted into the highest office feels humiliating to them.

Here in Texas, I saw several yard signs during the 2008 election with messages such as "Say no to Obamunism" and "Send him back to Kenya!" People usually put up signs in support of their candidate; these people were putting up signs against President Obama and were not even trying to hide their racism.

Have some perspective. Trump may be a piece of shit, but he hasn't taken office yet. He doesn't (yet) have blood on his hands.

Being a terrible person isn't a crime, (even if he's the buggest dkuchebag to ever hold office) like starting illegal wars. Let us hope he doesn't wind up with blood on his hands like bush and president cheney.

Troubled teen years. Drug use. Mixed race, identifies as African American. Then got his shit together, finished school, made it to Harvard, for God's sake, and edited the HJR. That's a big deal. Articulate. IQ in the 140-150 range. Deep familiarity with issues. Moral. Good husband. Good father.

Yep. Obama scared the HELL out of the wealthy class. No doubt there.

I didn't see eye to eye with him on the TPP or his continued use of drones, and I was really disappointed in the whole Dem party for not RAMMING single payer through in 2009 when they had the MANDATE.

But in all, Obama is a good guy and will go down in history as a GREAT president.

And particularly Fox fucking "news". From even before the 2004 elections they cranked up their thinly veiled racism incitement machine.
I believe enough collection of all the "wink-wink" anti-Obama confabulations put together in a video collage could easily convince even many of the entrenched right wingers that they've been systematically hoodwinked.
Fuck Fox fucking propaganda fucking so called fucking "news" and every fucking greedy horse they rode in on.

This goes much deeper. They just won't accept one.

I ran a business in Albany, GA. Just to give you an idea of the racism that exist there, the day I moved to that shit hole of a town, I was behind a pickup truck with a bumper sticker that said "If I knew then what I know now, I would have picked my own cotton". I just went WOW.

Anyway, after a few months there I promoted a black man to supervisor. Two of my employees said they would quit rather than work for him.

I told them to have a nice day and they could pick up their checks on the way out.

I did ask one of them why. He was a good guy, and I hated to see him leave. He said he would not be able to face his friends and more importantly his family if he stayed. It seems they will accept the fact he left a good job over working for a black man.

It's going to take a long time to break this mold.

I think it was mainly a dog whistle that actually meant "Repeal Obama". It allowed them to continue more or less openly stoking the hate and inciting their racist base. They were never going to accept a black man as the "boss." Their reaction to those 8 years was to mobilize and get tough and vote for the white supremacist guy who talked the biggest and never backed down. Unlike all those other Republican wimps, he'll show 'em who's the real boss by god!

Many of them probably aren't rabid racists but they may not follow or understand politics and just sort of follow along with their social group that may be led by authoritarian types who are rabid racists.

But it's close.

I'm currently reading "White Trash -- the 400 year untold history of class in America." I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It will give you a solid perspective on the republicon party and why they hate the 98%.

And btw, lumping all of us white folk in together is neither accurate nor fair. I'm about as white as you can get (and have the DNA to show it) and I voted for Obama twice and absolutely adore him and his family. They truly, to my mind, represent the best of this country. They are US. Not ... THEM.
