Thomas Stuart Price "Tom" Perriello (/pɛriˈɛloʊ/; born October 9, 1974) is an American attorney, diplomat and Democratic Party politician. He served one term as a U.S. Representative for Virginia's 5th congressional district, serving from 2009 until 2011, was the United States Special Representative for the Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review from 2014 to 2015 and the Special Envoy for the Great Lakes Region of Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo from July 2015 to December 2016. In January 2017, it was announced that Perriello would be running for Virginia Governor. (wikipedia)
