RE: The Breakdown At Customs In Airports The Other Day....

I didn't see a lot of concern here on DU or in MSM about the Customs computer failures at the airports.

Could this be Russian or terrorist hacking too?

Think about this - if someone wanted to sneak terrorists into this country - screw with the computer database at Customs and count on the customs agents letting their guard down and letting them pass thru Customs.

Shouldn't we have been more concerned about this breakdown the other day. The most I heard was that people were inconvienced and had to endure long lines and waits.

I got stuck trying to debark ship in New York City with one of these and had to wait 5 hours just to be allowed to set foot in my own country.

just chalk it up to their computer system screws up quite regularly. No threat here. Sorry for sounding the alarm.

Or chalk it up to the update installation that both FAA and Customs said was the cause.

Delta Air Lines canceled hundreds of flights in August, Southwest Airlines canceled thousands of flights in July and other airlines have suffered similar problems from episodes of the outdated computer systems receiving software updates.
