Nice piece that should be shared far and wide.

(11,730 posts)Keith is right. There is something wrong with Trump. I do not think that he will last his full term.

(21,740 posts)You can see he is not all there. I have preferred to say he is emotionally unbalanced, but the experts seem to have pegged it as narcissistic personality disorder. I think it is much deeper than that.
One thing you can never call Trump is "cool"
Originally, the word cool was part of a descriptive phrase of he's a "cool head"
Not Trump.

(11,730 posts)We have many many ways of describing people not behaving in a way that is considered "normal" or "healthy". Emotionally unbalanced paints a certain picture, though it does not really describe a behavioral pattern and it can be difficult to quantify. Narcissistic Personality Disorder is just shorthand for a constellation of behaviors and attitudes that are exhibited by people, but it can be esoteric to people who are familiar with the DSM or are in the mental health professions.
He appears to have a very fragile sense of himself which he covers with his bragging and self aggrandizement. He also seems to lack empathy and appears to view others not so much as unique and equal human beings, but as objects that he can either use, or as threats that he needs to eliminate. Trump engages in behaviors that are destructive to others, as well as to himself. The difference is that he has had the resources to shield himself from the greater damage that he has caused others throughout his life. I would imagine that if he did not have the resources and connections that his father's wealth has given him, that he would be in prison.

(21,740 posts)It's as if he is begging for people to understand the emotion he feels at the moment. If he disagrees with a statement, he make that "stupid face". When we wants to convey gravitas, he does his angry face. Every facial expression is an essay in his mind.
To me it shows an emotional need for acceptance in his every thought as if we can all read them.
I don't know the right word, but I think paranoia is involved among other things
