Its taken worry away: Trump voter says he hopes Trump doesnt take away his Obamacare

BRAD REED

Given that well over 60 million people voted for Donald Trump in 2016, it stands to reason that some of those voters are also people who benefit from Obamacare.

On such voter is Bob Ruscoe, who tells CNN that he hopes Trump really thinks carefully before ripping away health insurance from the tens of millions of people who now get their health insurance through the Affordable Care Act.

“We’ll have to see what pans out,” he said. “It may not be totally repealed. It may be something else. I hope something will remain in place.”

For many years, Ruscoe could not obtain any form of health insurance because insurers were scared off by his weight, which at one point topped 300 pounds.

Once Obamacare went live in 2014, however, Ruscoe said he could get an affordable plan for he and his wife that cost $338 per month, whereas without Obamacare he’d have to spend $1,150 for the same plan.

1. Well, Mr. Ruscoe, sure hope you've got some money set aside somewhere . . .

A lot of money. A whole shit-ton of it, in fact.

4. The news media needs to do pieces where they question why people vote against their best interests.

I am sick of seeing and reading pieces where we are supposed to have sympathy for these idiots.

The common theme seems to be, "There are so many people who now have coverage because of Obamacare that I'm sure Trump wouldn't agree to anything that would just throw us all off the rolls with nothing to replace it."

After all, Trump's campaign position amounted to saying that he would repeal Obamacare but that no one would lose coverage and that patients and the government would pay less but the care would be better.

Bear in mind that Reagan promised to cut taxes, raise military spending, and balance the budget, and on that basis won twice.

I have zero sympathy for this guy. The Republicans made no illusions about the ACA. They will rip it out at the roots and leave everybody else to twist in the wind. They have been very clear on this point.

Ruscoe voted for that, he picked that, he wanted that. If he's got buyer's remorse, then he's a fool, all the signs were there, he was too lazy to read them.

wouldn't have to worry, would he?

Shouldn't have let himself be brainwashed.

There will be a lot of those "pre-existing condition" people who are on Obamacare but couldn't bring themselves to vote for Hillary because.. emails/whatever name your particular brainwashing code words.

10. If the pre-existing conditions provision is repealed, 52 million Americans could lose insurance

In 11 states, at least three of every 10 non-elderly adults would have this type of pre-existing condition: West Virginia, Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri, Indiana, and Kansas.

ALL those states voted for Shitgibbon.

Fox and right wing media is all you get for information.

If your circle of friends is right wing and you aren't that smart or motivated to learn the truth this is the result.

I agree with Bernie that we ultimately need to reach out to these people.

But maybe not now, let them stew and lose first.

for him.

He voted to lose his health coverage. He literally voted for that because it was NOT A SECRET that the orange baboon (sorry baboons) was "going to get rid of it on day one".

So, Bob, you've got no one to blame but yourself and your deplorable friends.
