(10,167 posts)The 8 o'clock vote flip from Kerry to Bush.
Then there was the election that was called for Reagan, 1980, hours before people were finished voting. I live in the central time zone and the election was called at least an hour before the polls closed here, before I cast my vote. Mountain and Pacific time voters were cut off. So when you younger people hear the outcome of Reagan's win in '80, it's bullshit, FYI. They cheated.
And Tricky Dick Nixon holding back information that may have impacted on his being re-elected.
ALWAYS REPUBLICANS. ALWAYS.

(6,974 posts)Etc. from gumming up the works even MORE as it relates to voter suppression and voter disenfranchisement? Over 800 voting locations closed in NC where mostly Democratic/minorities voted could turn into 1,000 polling places closed in Florida, Ohio, Michigan or wherever "they" need them closed so Dems/minorities can't vote or extremely difficult to vote. It's gonna be far WORSE in 2018 and I don't want to even think about 2020's GE & another year of redistricting. Really, who KNOWS how much a tRumputin DOJ, FBI and a more "streamlined" trumputin CIA will go in stopping Dems/minorities from voting. Increased inter-state cross-checking on steroids as well. WHOSE there to "really"stop them?
Yes, I admit that I look at things in a more negative vein than some, but with tRumputin and many in the GOP committing treason by supporting the ruskies/rapeassange who interfered in our GE election, I put NOTHING past the GOP in trying to REALLY expand their majority in the Senate to 60 plus seats and to finally capture enough state legislatures/state houses which would possibly allow them to start changing the Constitution to THEIR liking. Did I say possibly? The GOP's wanted to change the Constitution since like forever, and they'll let nothing stop them--party over country.
