Sure, we can embarrass Trump and make his Presidency seem less legitimate, but unless we can prove he collaborated, this is what we're getting, and Russian hacking and fake news wasn't the biggest cause of his election...it was a woefully uninformed electorate at the hands of our own media.

It was a coup and Trump committed treason.

The link above has Trump in his own words and voice talking about the
hack of the DNC in July of 2016 and he called for the hacking of HRC's
computers and her work as Sec. of State. Now how did Trump know
about the Russian hack of the DNC unless "they" told him.

Sat Jan 7, 2017, 01:59 PM
Jan 2017

remember the hacking comment being shocking to me, at least not due to the hacking...being an unprecedented stupid by a totally unqualified Presidential candidate is another story.

If he did call it before it was news that is interesting, and probably worthy of investigation, but again, unless we have something concrete, we are not going to be able to prove Treason.

I thank you though, for your elaboration, and I'll look into that.

Sat Jan 7, 2017, 12:32 PM
Jan 2017

Unless there is some residual humanity floating around in Trump's thick infantile narcissistic skull, we can expect him to double down on his anti-intelligence tweets. And here's the thing - none of this would have been possible if we had a real news media, a valid "fourth estate" -- a press that treated news as news, and infotainment as non-news.
You know, not spend infinite amounts of time on EMAIL, and disregard Trump's ... well, everything.
But those tuned into Fox News have had decades of misinformation; it's what they "know".
So to me the bottom line is that I will forever condemn Ronald Reagan for his part in the destruction of the Fairness Doctrine, without which the right-wing fake news echo chamber couldn't exist.

61. VERY important wording
Sat Jan 7, 2017, 08:49 PM
Jan 2017

in this article, right at the start: "installing Donald J. Trump in the Oval Office." (My emphasis.)

This is coded language, the seriousness of which needs to be appreciated. It is not just saying "influence the election," or "favor" Trump, or anything else that leaves room for doubt. The word "installing" infers that the intent was to get him into the office, one way or another, and that they (Putin et al) would escalate their campaign and any influence that they had on their contacts to achieve this, whether by disinformation, hacking, or any other way - including directly affecting the voting process in some manner or another. They had a LOT invested in this enterprise, and they were not about to lose. In that world, bad things happen to those who don't produce the expected results.

Were this some local paper, I would not read too much into the statement, perhaps it being careless wording. But the NYT is at the top of its profession, the epitome of journalism. This means something. To me, it means that they quite possibly know even more than they are reporting.

This is serious stuff. The reporters are likely facing serious threats to follow up on leads and obtain information.

The use of this type of language is intentional and portends of something very evil.

That photo alone sends a message--the NYT isn't playing ball with dump's little charade.

Maybe the NYT learned their lesson when they shielded chimpy by burying the story that Gore actually won in Florida. Their rationale at the time was that the country needed to be unified post-911. Then he went on to get us into the Iraq debacle and the rest of his clusterf*ck of a presidency.

Cosseting illegitimate presidents doesn't end well.
