That's a given. Sadly, they'll get away with it too.

And by accountable, I mean actual charges brought for abuse of office, bribery, extortion, and any number of charges that can be brought to bear.

Government officials that abuse the power of their office for personal gain should be jailed.

That's what should happen to them. It won't happen - but that's what should happen.

Where is a good U.S. Attorney when you need one? There is enough work with Trump and his nominees to keep all U.S. Attorneys busy for decades!

Senators voting for the nominees will have violated due diligence. That can and should be used against those Senators should issues later arise. There is no need to rush the appointments. The GOP has more than enough votes to confirm each horrendous appointment.

Imagine if liberal/progressive voters had done their civic duty and voted 100%. Warren's job would be a lot easer with Clinton in the White House.

The election has consequences. Putin divided, dismayed, and conquered our side. Some of our voters didn't do their jobs. It's their job to become inspired, not the candidate's job to be inspiring.

Warren: No confirmation hearings for Trump appointees until they’re vetted for conflicts of interest

Sen. Elizabeth Warren threw down the gauntlet to the Trump transition team on Saturday when she called for a moratorium on confirmation hearings for his cabinet appointees until they can be thoroughly screened for conflicts of interest.

TheHill.com reported Saturday evening that Warren made the declaration on Twitter, writing, “Cabinet officials must put our country’s interests before their own. No [confirmation] hearings should be held until we’re certain that’s the case.”

She was responding to a letter from the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) expressing grave concern that confirmation hearings will take place before it has a chance to screen nominees for ethical conflicts.

We need to hit back hard no matter what.
