They'll have to repeal.

I mean that's all they've focused on these last eight years.

3. I'm not so sure it will happen, Jacob

It was one thing for them to foam at the mouth about Obamacare when they didn't have the power to end it.

Now they're in a "be careful what you wish for" situation. If they kill Obamacare, and replace it with their "alternative," they'll pay a tremendous price at the next congressional elections two years from now.

Even those who always vote for Republicans will start to realize, even if they didn't know it before, that the GOP alternative plan to Obamacare is "Lay down and die".

Most Americans have family members who are on Medicare, or Medicaid, or Obamacare. And let's not forget Social Security. The Republican plan to destroy the American social safety net is nothing more than a plan for the GOP to commit suicide. Then again, it seems to me that many of them are so mean spirited that they really don't foresee the results of their actions. Either that, or they just don't give a damn.

That, unfortunately is the downside to propaganda. Once the crazy genie of a false paradigm is let out of the bottle, and the susceptible ones take the bait, there's no getting it all back in the bottle.

I fear we'll just have to let this theater-of-the-absurd play itself out. We'll survive as a country, but we're going to be in a figurative intensive care unit for a long time afterwards.
