For those who know the book - who else is thinking this dystopian future has moved closer to reality than not?

It's that kind of a read.

This movie is a must watch....book of course was more detailed and as movies goes it followed the book well, but both the book and this movie gave me chills when it was first published and I read it in College...

(42,641 posts)I approached that subject at that time and my wife said she would not move. She cited language and cold and distance from our children. If it gets bad here she might be willing to change her mind.
I even offered Ontario as a partial compromise but Ontario is just as cold as my home area. As does everyone here, we are hoping for the best.
Far, but less frigid.

I would recommend BC or Ontario for English speakers.

(11,175 posts)I strongly recommend the reading of the unabridged novel by Claire Danes. I don't know whether there was an earlier version, but this one was published in 2014.
