Toll roads poised to boom under Trump plan

critical infrastructure needs like repairing aging pipes, deepening ports or fixing existing roads and bridges may go neglected under Trump's private financing plan.

"Unfortunately, the Trump infrastructure plan does nothing for these repair and incremental expansion projects. By focusing federal tax subsidies on revenue-generating megaprojects in large urban areas, the plan leaves the rest of America's infrastructure needs behind."

the result is that it will cost us alot to build and use these projects (i.e. toll roads), and cronies will have a guaranteed revenue stream for decades, if not forever. And they'll have no incentive to maintain or improve them while they're being used and worn out. They'll reduce their cost to the minimum to increase their profits and then come back to the public to pay for any maintenance and improvements or replacing.
