I've not seen anywhere in the world where people are kinder to street dogs and cats than in Istanbul. All are cared for. If a dog can't socialize properly they are taken out to locations in the country where they are fed and housed and cared for.

So different than the mass slaughter of street animals that occurs in so many other areas.

and generous to a fault. This is on display with its animals, as well. Great place, great people.

I'm impressed. Especially with the pupsters sleeping INSIDE the store. You can also see piles of food around them, and they even have cardboard underneath each dog. Most places would be removing them as a nuisance and eye sore on a city sidewalk.

I wish they could find permanent homes, but maybe there are just too many of them.
