Is it technically possible for Trump to be arrested before inauguration?

I mean, you know, for cause. That seems to be more and more plausible these days. What would happen then?

However even if arrested he can still be sworn in (probably) since an arrest does not equal a conviction and no trial would take place prior to 1/20/17. However even by some microscopic chance Trump is not sworn, then Pence will be sworn in.
