Which Republican paid for this Opposition Report on Trump?

From everything I've read, it seems this report began as Republican opposition research on Trump. One of the candidates who ran against him.

Why didn't they use it in the Republican primary?

Don't know that it was literally passed of, but at some point Hillary's campaign took it over. Plus Podesta was intimating about something explosive, as well as Harry Reid.

He was stationed in Russia in the 1990's and I assume as such has connections there still.

And I could see them passing it off to Clinton.

But why did she not use it?

Secret Intelligence Services/Military Intelligence, section 6.

They are the human intelligence side of British intel. Hopefully the GCHQ brings some signal intelligence to bear.

The document was secured by John Mc Cain from a British intel operative.

Somehow the reports were handed over (not complete since more were still coming in) to the FBI and Reid caught wind if it in August, which was when he wrote his letter to Comey.

Later, after the election, McCain handed over this 35 page dossier to Comey which was complete up until December of this year.

I'm suspicious the Democrats never had possession of this info, due to Reid's letter. it doesn't make sense for Reid to be demanding its release if it were in the hands of Democrats already.

He couldn't even get the time of day while running, so it was of no use to him. Plus he hated Ted Cruz but would endorse him over Trump....and given that there are reports McCain somehow got a copy....

And then the other shoe, what do you do with it? This isn't a politician humping someone they shouldn't or spending money they shouldn't for the good life.

If true, this is trading favorable policy for shared profit.

I'm kind of curious on what the Kremlin is now going to come out and say about it. If they deny it and its proven, they look bad. If they do the no comment routine...well.... Then again, they may stay silent just to cause more chaos.
