Why can KellyCon and Ivanka move to DC with multiple kids, yet its a problem for Melania?
I don't buy the story about Ivanka moving to DC and playing Betty Crocker for the next 4 yrs

I think they knew the whole Russian thing was blowing up and that her Eastern European accent would be misunderstood, especially by Trump Chumps, and prove to be a liability (you know, she recruited him, his being an atrociously bad businessman had nothing to do with Russia grabbing him by the short hairs).
Keeping little Baron in the same school will be the excuse. She'll make an appearance in DC just often enough to keep gossip down but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she serves him papers as soon as he's out of the government.

She's not really polished in front of the cameras, and it's obviously stressful for her to have to give a speech, etc. In addition, remember his comment about a woman having a job being "dangerous"? I'm sure he wants Melania doting on ONLY Donald.

President-Elect Donald Trump once asked, Is it wrong to be more sexually attracted to your own daughter than your wife? . . .
Trump was allegedly referred to his daughter, Ivanka, who was 13 years old at the time.
The draft circulated around on Monday, before a final version was released Tuesday.

(36,841 posts)I think she probably didn't realize just what she was getting herself into (yes, gold digger... blah, blah, blah).
She most certainly signed a pre-nup that leaves her with next to nothing, and she probably worries about her son if she did decide to leave.
Trump has likely been very emotionally abusive. He has probably gas-lighted her and destroyed her self-esteem to the point where she feels stuck in a hopeless situation.
Of course this is all conjecture, but it fits his modus operandi, imo.

(27,045 posts)It's unheard of in modern times for the wife of a president to not accompany her husband to D.C. and live in the White House. Melania obviously is not keen on living that sort of cloistered life, surrounded by security et al. There's also the question of whether he son has autism, as has been speculated. Donald has definitely chosen being president over whatever her wishes are. The marriage is likely over, or will be in the future. She's in her mid-40s now and she'd have to think about where she'd be maybe eight years from now. Will she sacrifice those years to remain married to Donald?

(15,411 posts)If she is already self-conscious about her accent, being made fun of after her speech (for the plagiarism) might have left a scar. And if there is something wrong with Baron, and she has any maternal instinct at all, she might want to protect him. Except why didn't she protect him on election night when Baron was sent out to the stage alone? Or maybe it was because that's when the rumor about his special needs really caught fire and she doesn't want him exposed to more. I don't know if he is autistic but it does appear as though there is something wrong with him.
She might have told Donald to just keep her out of the limelight. And Baron too.

(11,243 posts)She lives with a nightmare of a bully who is melting down under the stress. Can you imagine how abusive and demanding he is to live with as a partner? I don't think she really signed on to be first lady. And the kid has special needs even if the press has been respectful and kept it out of the spotlight. She might be protecting him too. I kinda feel sorry for her.

(4,149 posts)She married him for cold, hard cash. She's not EVER to be pitied. She chose it, and she wouldn't leave it if you asked. She wants the money and is willing to sleep with tRump to get it. Enough said.

(11,243 posts)I dunno. Hating Melania is kind of like kicking a puppy to me. She doesn't have enough soul or skill to make it seem worthwhile. But that's me.... After the way the press and GOP ripped the Clinton's marriage apart, and then don't say Boo to the fact that the man's wife won't live with him. Hypocrisy....
It'll be interesting to see if she 'stands by her man' if more about the prostitutes comes out.

(6,974 posts)NOT even do I feel a LITTLE bit sorry for her, especially after she went all "racist birther" on Pres. Obama back in 2011 on the View. Pres. Obama had younger daughters at the time TOO. I truly don't care what or whom Melania "does' in bed. I really don't. I don't give a fat rat's ass what she did in the past.
I DO care about the double fucking standards that are applied--especially by the mainstream media. I've written this before, but just IMAGINE if Barrack and Michelle Obama had done what tRump has unabashedly done. . . . Yeah. It's disgusting, isn't it?

(5,586 posts)against them.
With the state of bullying and self-confidence in children, I tend to agree that changing schools mid year COULD be damaging to a student.
I've experienced this in my own family when my brother moved to another state for a job, and his wife and kids stayed behind so their kids could finish up the school year at their existing school before moving.
There are plenty of other, more legitimate, reasons to hate Donald and Melania Trump.
