What can President Obama do to expose the truth on Donald Trump?

I have read that he has the authority to release the tax returns of Donald Trump?

Does he have any authority to order an investigation of the Russian hacking?

Is there anything he can do before he leaves office?

he took an oath. He can't release private info like the tax return. He can order an investigation but it won't be carried out, not on his order alone.

The one thing he could do is use his contacts in foreign countries AFTER he leaves office to see if there is any there there and if he can do anything to bring it to light. But I suspect that might not happen because if all of this could be verified, and this report has been around since at least August, Bill and Hill would have had it and made it public. Had they been able to prove it. The golden showers story detracts from the crime or potential crime in the document: that trump is a manchurian candidate being or subject to blackmail to act against our best interests.

Assuming of course Trump has a clue what our best interests would be in a place like Ukraine.
