The untold abject horror of the turn of events at today's press conference.

The soon to be President of the United States very literally shouts down a reporter from a news organization that--while not in any way perfect--has been a legitimate source of news for nearly four decades, refuses to even allow him to ask him a question, and he proceeds to brand said news organization in front of his peers as being "fake news."

He then immediately turns to another reporter of a news organization that has existed for less than 10 years, that serves as a popular destination for members of the alt-right and white supremacists, that contains stories with absurdly provocative racist, sexist and bigoted headlines such as "BIRTH CONTROL MAKES WOMEN UNATTRACTIVE AND CRAZY", "THE SOLUTION TO ONLINE 'HARASSMENT' IS SIMPLE: WOMEN SHOULD LOG OFF", "HOIST IT HIGH AND PROUD: THE CONFEDERATE FLAG PROCLAIMS A GLORIOUS HERITAGE" and "POLITICAL CORRECTNESS PROTECTS MUSLIM RAPE CULTURE", who very recently ran a documentably false story about Muslims supposedly burning down a church in Germany which was immediately debunked by German authorities, an organization that until recently was run by his soon to be senior policy advisor, and gladly takes that organization's reporter's question, which was........

"With all the problems that we've seen throughout the media during the course of this election, what reforms do you recommend for this industry here?"

Ladies and gentlemen, I think we've officially arrived at the Dystopia. I hope you've enjoyed your trip.

... he and his diddlyshit sycophants are SO PROUD of that "fake news" epithet they can hurl at anyone they don't like. It's like a "Get Out of Jail Free Card!" they'll exclaim, beaming.

Uh, no... while his idiot supporters may believe whatever pre-screened manipulated garbage they're fed, the 76% of the public who did not vote for this clown and his unending train wreck ARE reachable by facts and logic. And so if Don the Con thinks he can just hold news conferences with Fox News and Breitbart and exclude everyone else who pisses him off, he's got another think coming (not that he's capable of it).

The more news organizations go after him, the more that 76% of the public will continue to wake up to the fact this bozo is the least ethical, least honest, least qualified imbecile to become President - and that he's thoroughly in bed with and controlled by a foreign government.

If THIS is how he starts out before he even took the Oath, he has nowhere to go but down from here. And down he will go, all the way to the bottom of the abyss.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/cnn-a-heavy-contributor-to-trumps-earned-media/article/2586159

CNN's president downplayed criticism this week that his newsroom pays an inordinate amount of attention to GOP front-runner Donald Trump, but data shows his network is one of the chief contributors to the billionaire businessman's nearly $2 billion in earned media this election cycle.

As the front-runner, Trump was always going to get "a disproportionate amount of attention," Jeff Zucker told reporters this week.

The television executive continued, explaining that part of the reason why Trump gets so much play on CNN is because the candidate makes himself readily available.

They gave his ridiculous birther movement a platform, which created the orange monster we see now. Meanwhile, they ran non-stop coverage of Hillary's emails and Benghazi which both turned out to be non stories. Big Con Don was held to the lowest standards in news media history. They coddled him and gave his minions endless access (even paid Lewandowski) to spew his lies in front of the American people. In the end he treated them like a rented mule and now they don't like it. I hope he continues to call them out and shut them out so that maybe it will make them get off their sorry asses and do the job they should have been doing in the first place. Hold him accountable and do actual journalism instead of pushing for easy ratings.

Former British Spy Christopher Steele Prepared Explosive Trump Memo
by HANS NICHOLS and KEN DILANIAN

An explosive 35-page memo on Donald Trump's relationship with Russia, which contains unverified allegations and which Trump called a "complete fabrication" Wednesday, was written by a former British intelligence officer working for Orbis Business Intelligence, Ltd., two people familiar with the matter told NBC News.

Separately, Rohit Kachroo, security editor for NBC News British partner ITV News, reported that the man's name is Christopher David Steele, a former officer with MI6 who was posted to Moscow in 1990. The memo was originally generated on behalf of Republican opponents of Trump's but was later shopped to the media by Democrats.
...snip
Steele's whereabouts were not known Thursday, and intelligence analyst Glenmore Trenear-Harvey said it was "perfectly plausible" the ex-spy could be in hiding in fear of retaliation from the Russian government.

"Look what happened to Litvinenko," he said. "Putin has form... Such things have happened in the past."
